Every time I see the Lagerfeld with the collar, I am reminded very much of a story from a collection of scary stories that was popular when I was in about 4th grade. The story was about a girl who’d been beheaded, but whose head had been immediately reattached with a ribbon, and as long as she kept the ribbon around her neck, her head stayed on and she lived. Unfortunately, her boyfriend got curious and untied it, with unpleasant results.
