I saw a rather Renaissance-ish Italian wearing very similar boots yesterday. Well, an Italian who is known for singing Renaissance music and who studies Renaissance poetry, at any rate. They looked very nice on, and well-suited to an artistic gentleman.

It seems like a real thin footwear to me. It reminds me of shopping in Milan, there is a jubilee look on that air friendly boots in the photograph. You are right, it seems a perfect fit for a painter or somebody of that sort, Jane C
