A 2, or better yet 1 button jacket would have been better, I think. The longer lines of the lapel would add vertical length and have more slimming effect.

I think the beard helps as well. It helps to define his jawline.

A real effort to to present oneself in my opinion. The lack of the proper length in the sleeve length bothers me more than anything else. I think it is fantastic that he took the time to have a tuxedo tailored.
