The Narcissism of Minor Differences

By Izzy

Jude Law in tiny collar

Having once criticized Jude Law for wearing a too tiny collar and tie, Izzy must admit that the combo above does work.  Could it be that they’re just the smallest bit larger than his earlier, unsuccessful try?  Or perhaps his leaving the tie askew does the trick.

Maybe it’s just the picture, but I believe that the collar makes the rest of his body look unproportionally small in comparison to his head.

  2. Trey Says:

I must admit, I’m not a fan of the narrow tie ‘trend.’ It looks like Mr. Law is dressing from the boys’ department! Slimmer proportions are one thing, but that look is quite another.

  3. Twistie Says:

I think perhaps it may be that he’s got the perfect fashion accessory standing next to him. Who would ever notice anything wrong in a picture that includes Michael Caine?

  4. Jenny Says:

I’m okay with the skinny tie, but the extra-small collar looks kind of ridiculous. And makes the skinny tie look bad, too.

  5. Style Spy Says:

I only have eyes for Michael Caine, whom Jude Law should have enough sense not to be photographed next to, seeing how desperately outclassed he is.
