I live in an area where the temperature in the summer is regularly in the 90's & more. I see owners walking their pups on black asphalt and the dogs are mincing because of the heat. If the pavement is too hot for you to walk on it, it's too hot for your dogs. It's like those people that allow their dog to hang their head out of the window of a moving car. The dog is not wise enough to know what kind of damage is being done to their eyes. It's as if you are riding a motorcycle without goggles. More people should shod their dogs.
