Curious Yellow

By Izzy

yellow gloves

This gentleman in Milan is doing so many things right, it’s hard to know where to begin.  There are his narrow, short trousers which show off the sensational antiqued shoes (Berluti?).  And it’s not every day one sees a pocket square in an overcoat.  But the gloves, cradling a cigar, are really what set the outfit apart.  If there’s one accessory any dandy must absolutely possess, it is a pair of canary yellow gloves.

Ah yes, available from Mr. Yep in Room A, Block A, 6th Floor, Bao’an Plaza, Sungang Road, Shenzhen City, Luohu District, Guangdong Province…

  2. Evan Rose Says:

    Methinks those are chamois gloves.

  3. Chris Says:

Ah, yes, chamois… and yet still ungodly ugly in their cumbersomeness. Worn as they are, his gloves are the equivalent of the behemoth impractical and ill considered designer handbags favored by certain of the other gender. The only excuse for them is that in so loudly declaring his self-consciousness, they explain to the eye his comical coat, which crinkles and clings in all the ways that a tailor would try to avoid.
